The Opportunity
Shape Something Different – Join our Thunder Bay office as a Structural Engineer-in-Training and accelerate your growth in a collaborative Resources Engineering group. You'll work on industrial projects ranging from new builds to rehabilitation, supporting institutional and government clients. This role offers hands-on design experience, site investigations, and opportunities to see your ideas come to life—all while building confidence and professional relationships in a supportive environment.
Your Impact
- Assist with the design and calculation of building and industrial structures, applying engineering principles to real-world projects.
- Contribute to technical reports, construction specifications, and tender documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in design management discussions.
- Conduct site investigations and inspections, evaluating structural conditions and ensuring compliance.
- Apply sustainable practices and innovative thinking to project delivery.
- Support project managers by providing timely updates and technical input.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- More than 2 years of relevant structural engineering experience (including co-op or internship).
- Working knowledge of structural design principles and software (e.g., S-Frame, STAAD Pro, SAP).
- Experience with concrete and steel structure design in Canada.
- EIT status or eligibility for P.Eng. registration in Ontario.
- Strong initiative and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $73,400 – $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 – $92,200
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $66,300 – $88,000
