Job Summary:

As a Host/Game Attendant at Scotty's, you'll be the first point of contact for guests and the first step in delivering an outstanding experience. Your role will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and overseeing our games and activities. You'll need to balance customer service with attention to detail, ensuring that our guests enjoy their time at Scotty's whether they're here to eat, drink, or play. This role requires a friendly attitude, great communication skills, and the ability to keep the fun flowing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude, manage guest flow, and ensure that seating is handled efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Reservation Management: Manage reservations, waiting lists, and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests.
  • Game Supervision: Ensure all games and activities are set up and ready for play. Assist guests with game rules and equipment, keeping things running smoothly and safely.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with any questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring they feel welcomed and valued throughout their visit.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including waiting areas and game zones.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the server, bar, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth, seamless experience for guests.
  • Promote Events & Specials: Inform guests about upcoming events, promotions, or new menu items to enhance their experience at Scotty's.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve minor guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all game areas and help monitor that guests are using equipment properly.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in hospitality or entertainment, is a plus.
  • Friendly, positive attitude with the ability to engage with guests and create a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and handle busy, fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of guests, including families, groups, and individuals of all ages.
  • Basic knowledge of game mechanics and rules (training will be provided if needed).
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal working age in your state).
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
