Position: Security Guard

Site: Nike Canada Warehouse - 260 Brimley Road, Scarborough   

Hours: Saturday Sunday
Payrate:  $19.22/hour

Site Description :  Nike is a world leader in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and selling of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, and services. Nike sponsors many high-profile athletes and sports teams around the world, with their highly recognized trademarks of "Just Do It" and the Swoosh logo.  The NIKE Canada Customer Service Centre is located in Scarborough, near Eglinton Avenue East and Brimley Rd.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
  • Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed.
  • Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.
  • Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.
  • Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant authorities as needed.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Must be able to commute to the pre-deployment training (3 of 5 training days)
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)  
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position  
  • Other duties and responsibilities as stated and directed by the client and or management. 

    • Prerequisites:

    1. Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License
    2. Must have a valid (WSIB-Approved) First Aid and CPR Level-C Certification
    3. Must be proficient in English (both oral and written)
    4. Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check upon offer of employment
    5. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses—proof required. 
    6. Authorized to work in Canada legally

    High School Diploma/GED


    Certification Requirements (All)

    Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
    Valid Ontario Security License
    Minimum of 1 year security experience
    COVID Double Vaccinated
