Role Description

This part-time, on-site role as a Caregiver is located in Geneva, IL. As a Caregiver, you will provide compassionate assistance to seniors with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, personal care, mobility assistance, and companionship. You will help clients with errands, medication reminders, and engaging in activities to enhance their quality of life. You'll collaborate with the Senior Helpers team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients while fostering a relationship built on trust and empathy.

Qualifications

  • Strong caregiving skills, including personal care, mobility support, and assistance with activities of daily living
  • Experience with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands
  • Compassion, empathy, and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Effective communication and listening skills for engaging with clients and their families
  • Patience and understanding, especially for individuals with Alzheimer's, Dementia, or Parkinson's Disease
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
  • Previous caregiving experience or relevant training is preferred
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
