Job Description and Responsibilities:

MEDLOG Logistics is actively seeking an experienced Night Dispatcher at our Commerce location. This position will collaborate closely with our carriers and other service partners while providing excellent customer service and a great willingness to help wherever needed.

• Ability to work 5pm – 5am on a {rotating shift, 3 nights on/3 nights off}
• Track inbound and outbound trains
• Monitor yard inventory
• Dispatch loads, empties and chassis based on need
• Manage the movement on all loads, empties and chassis to be sure they make the cut off
• Set up over the road moves for expedited units and exceptions like derailment
• Organize yard, positioning to move, chassis loads, or empties from one lot to another lot or from one BNSF yard to another BNSF yard

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of intermodal dispatch experience or relevant experience preferred
• Basic computer knowledge, ability, and willingness to learn job specific software programs
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail a MUST
• Possess a great team player attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
• Good judgement and decision-making skills
• Responsible, reliable, and accountable
• Ability to be team-oriented, while working independently on nights
