Field Operations Leadership Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing home-services organization that is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead its plumbing field operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at developing teams, managing field operations, and ensuring projects are completed with efficiency, safety, and high-quality standards.

About the Role

The Senior Construction Manager oversees Territory and Assistant Territory Field Managers, ensuring all plumbing projects are properly staffed, resourced, and executed on time and within budget. This position combines leadership, operational management, and mentorship—supporting field teams while driving process excellence across multiple territories.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee execution of plumbing services to ensure deadlines and budget goals are met
  • Train Territory Field Managers through a structured 4–6 week onboarding program
  • Provide daily coaching on field execution, quality, and CRM usage
  • Support the development, performance, and confidence of Territory Field Managers
  • Build and manage daily schedules for Assistant Territory Field Managers
  • Provide coverage during PTO or absences
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting new Territory Field Managers
  • Conduct 6-month coaching reviews and contribute to annual evaluations
  • Hold field managers accountable for performance outcomes

Operational Management & Quality Assurance

  • Manage logistical planning, workflow, and resource allocation across territories
  • Approve variance purchase orders above preset limits
  • Lead Quality Assurance initiatives and ensure compliance with standards
  • Develop and refine SOPs to drive efficiency
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and report concerns as needed
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to review scopes of work
  • Resolve field issues, address customer concerns, and escalate when necessary
  • Maintain strong relationships with team members, customers, vendors, and subcontractors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or college a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of field management or construction management experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn business-specific software systems
  • Valid driver's license (3+ years) and insurable
  • Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Split between office and field work with frequent travel to job sites
  • Regular standing, climbing, kneeling, and handling of tools/materials
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to drive or ride for extended periods
  • Exposure to varied weather conditions
