Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Handle various types of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies.
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries, managing route driving responsibilities with precision.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL A license, preferably with experience in driving tractor-trailers.
• Familiarity with operating auto transmission trucks and handling various trailer types.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures and route driving is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving.
