Dietary Aide

Overview
Valley Vista is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our team. Our dietary staff play a vital role in supporting the well-being of our patients through nutrition and meal preparation. The dietary staff assists in the daily operations of the kitchen by preparing healthy meals, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a safe food handling environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
• Participate in training programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food service practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for hospitality and cooking, with a desire to grow within the food service and/or healthcare industry.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
