North Suffolk is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join our team The Shift Supervisor provides direct services to people in a residential setting in the areas of daily living skills, transportation, skill-building, money management, medication administration, risk mitigation and other areas based on the person centered treatment plan. The shift supervisor will assist with administrative supervision of Overnight Support Specialist/ Residential Support Specialist Il and/or will run on-site day programming.

What you'll do:

  • Implement Safety Plans, Crisis Prevention Plans and Response Plans in order to help prevent and mitigate risk factors.
  • Use evidenced based practices including motivational interviewing as directed by clinical supervisors.
  • Gather information about community agencies and families to assist person in the provision of services.
  • Document each person's progress in the confidential record according to established methods and procedures.
  • Organize and lead individual and group social and recreational activities to structure each persons time, increase social experiences, and provide opportunities to practice social skills and receive feedback and support.
  • Participate in all required clinical and skill trainings to enhance skills and knowledge base.

What you'll need:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree required with significant experience working with persons with serious and persistent mental illness and/or substance abuse.
  • Experience:
  • Knowledge of Recovery approaches for the treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Knowledge of DMH regulations.
  • Skills:
  • Must obtain Massachusetts MAP within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified or complete CPR/First Aid certification during orientation (training provided).
  • Valid Mass driver's license required.
