Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to join our dedicated educational team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing engaging curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with families and colleagues to support each child's unique developmental journey. Responsibilities

  • Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children of various ages and developmental stages.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with educational standards, incorporating early childhood education principles, literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and behavioral therapy techniques to promote respectful interactions and self-regulation.
  • Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and support diverse learning needs.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods and maintain detailed records of each child's progress, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals when applicable.
  • Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, behavioral health professionals, and early intervention teams to support children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs.
  • Facilitate communication with families through regular updates on child welfare, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences to foster a strong home-school connection.
  • Supervise classroom assistants and student teachers, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality instruction.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and childcare standards while maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to Montessori methods, childhood development, deaf education, or other specialized areas to continually enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across core subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities; familiarity with IEP processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists.
  • Knowledge of learning technology tools used in modern classrooms to support diverse learners.
  • Background in early intervention strategies and behavioral health practices tailored for young children.
  • Prior experience in daycare or private school environments is preferred; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of childhood development principles along with a commitment to child welfare and safety standards.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate play-based learning approaches suitable for toddlers through preschoolers.
  • Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials; additional training in speech therapy or behavioral therapy is advantageous.
