Customer Service Representative -1 year experience

Our clinic, located in the beautiful Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC, is seeking a Full-time customer service representative. This position serves as a liaison between our wonderful clientele, potential clients, veterinary staff, and management.

You would join a team of 25 full-time employees, several of whom have been with our company for over 10 years. Our staff work closely together and enjoy a fun, respectful working environment where every voice is valued.

Customer Service Representatives will have a direct impact on the growth of the clinic and the value the client perceives. Training provided in customer service, veterinary medicine, and pharmacology will equip our Customer Service Representatives with the necessary skills. We are seeking candidates who are creative, independent, and think big-picture. Knowledge of Idexx Cornerstone software is a plus.

Main responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to veterinary services.
• Utilize practical communication skills to assist clients over the phone and through various channels.
• Perform data entry tasks accurately, ensuring client information is up-to-date.
• Handle transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance client services and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Hours can vary based on availability. Several shorter shifts or a few longer shifts can be worked into our schedule. Weekend shifts will be required. Saturday hours are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Some flexibility is required.

We are offering a hiring bonus based on previous experience and the number of hours worked per week, with a maximum value of $250. The bonus will be awarded after the 90-day probationary period has ended.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in the veterinary field is required for this position.
