CodeStream Studios provides turnkey technology education resources and engaging, project-based content that help K-12 students cultivate critical and analytical thinking skills, apply creative problem solving, build confidence, improve college-readiness, and develop marketable skill sets.
We're seeking a passionate individual with a strong background in both education and management to join our team as an Education Coordinator to help lead our instructors in providing engaging educational experiences that inspire students to learn, code, and create. This is a hybrid role involving 50% administrative responsibilities and 50% educational leadership.

As an Education Coordinator, you'll…
- Act as Chief Student Experience Advocate, working to ensure a fun, enjoyable, and positive learning environment and successful outcomes for every student
- Work cross-functionally with clients, sales, content, operations, and marketing to develop, manage, and lead on-site and virtual educational programs and events
- Model instructional best practices and expected approaches to classroom management
- Coordinate scheduling, communication, and learning & development for a distributed team of instructors
- Collaborate with the content and operations team, providing feedback to ensure that all curriculum is developed to standard
- Plan and execute relevant supplemental educational activities that support the assigned curriculum and learning objectives
- Regularly assess, monitor, evaluate, coach, and report on education team performance
- Recruit, screen, interview, hire, and onboard new coding instructor candidates
- Audit our existing instructional approach to identify opportunities for improvement
- Learn and develop your domain knowledge across our entire catalog
- Research current industry trends, best practices, and educational standards
- Implement evaluation methodologies to monitor instructional effectiveness
- Identify and communicate opportunities for product improvement
Daily Operational Support Tasks:
- Work with clients to plan courses, schedule classrooms, programs and events.
- Work with CodeStream Studios (CS) staff to confirm details related to upcoming classrooms and events.
- Provided tech support for CS Instructors, student users and clients
- Serve as the first line of support for urgent CodeStream Online Studio (CSOS) learning platform CSOS user issues.
- Attend classrooms and provide coaching assistance to CS Instructors during classroom check-ins.
- Assist with recruiting, screening, interviewing and onboarding CS Coding Instructor new hires.
- Review daily classroom reports from previous sessions and deal with necessities related to them.
You'll thrive as an Education Coordinator if you have:
- Experience leading teams, modeling behaviors, and developing standard operating procedures
- Recent teaching experience in computer science / coding in either a formal or informal setting
- Computer Coding experience in one or more general purpose programming languages, including, but not limited to: HTML/CSS, Javascript, Python, C#, Swift, Kotlin, Javascript, etc.
- A way with words when communicating even challenging concepts, and your writing skills (in English) are top notch.
- Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices, and you're comfortable using them to frame concepts to beginners
- Comfortability with communication and collaboration tools like: Google Docs, Gmail, Slack, Notion, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- The ability to context switch and prioritize among a large workload.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with an eye for detail
- An openness to change and a willingness to experiment with formats, platforms and approaches.
- A team player mindset, willing to jump into any aspect of a project to fill a vacuum, no matter how big or small.
- Intellectual curiosity and an enthusiasm for problem solving
- A desire to learn and grow, and have the work ethic to follow through on your ambitions
- The ability to work a consistent schedule and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
You'll stand out as a candidate if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in Education, Learning & Development and/or Management
- Professional experience as a teacher, manager, or learning and development trainer
- Professional experience in computer coding as a software engineer or developer
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like JazzHR
- Experience working in a startup or small business environment
- Experience working in a remote environment
