Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced to join our culinary team. This role involves providing exceptional food service, assisting with meal preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling, kitchen operations, and customer service within a dining or healthcare environment. Duties

  • Prepare and assemble meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines
  • Assist with menu planning to accommodate various dietary needs and preferences
  • Handle food safely, following all sanitation and hygiene standards
  • Serve meals to residents or guests in a courteous and timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
  • Support catering events by preparing food and setting up serving stations
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
  • Collaborate with dietary and culinary staff to ensure meal quality and presentation meet organizational standards

Experience

  • Prior experience in dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
  • Experience in fine dining, food preparation, or restaurant service is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures required
  • Culinary experience including knife skills, meal preparation, cooking techniques, and food presentation is advantageous
  • Background in the food industry or kitchen environment will be considered an asset
  • Familiarity with catering services and serving in a hospitality setting is beneficial

This role requires a professional with strong culinary skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality food service. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in food safety practices and possess effective communication skills to work seamlessly within a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.75 - $9.50 per hour
