Job Title: Risk Management Administrator Assistant Division: 19- The Townsend Company Function: AAS-Administrative Services Reports To: Discipline: AAS999-Administrative Services- No Applicable Discipline Pay Type: Hourly Career Band: (U) Business Support Job Type: Non-Exempt EEO Group: 5-Administrative Support Workers Effective: 09/19/2025 Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Risk Management Administrative Assistant to join our Risk Management team at our corporate office in Muncie, IN. This role will support the efficient operation of the Risk Management by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.Responsibilities include data management, filing, maintaining confidential claim information, and supporting various RM processes to keep operations running efficiently. To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, an upbeat and professional attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management are essential.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities Essential Functions:
• Investigation and Claim File Management: Create and maintain physical or digital files for claim to securely store relevant documents.
• Data Entry & Accuracy: Enter, update, and maintain data in spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems;
• Completion of entry level office tasks.
• Contacts potential claimants.
• Communicates with insurance companies
• Assists in providing certificates of insurance.
• Answering phone calls and maintaining call log
• Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice
• Duties and responsibilities can be assigned as necessary
• Collaboration & Confidentiality: Work with team members to confirm accuracy and consistency of data while handling confidential information with discretion.

• Education o High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience o Minimum 2 years' experience in data entry, HR, or administrative tasks
• Skills o Familiarity with office procedures, file management systems, and standard office equipment. o Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. o Excellent communication and people skills o Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet critical deadlines (e.g., tasks due by Tuesday). o Meet all physical requirements of the position. o Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations. o 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required. o Legally authorized to work in the United States.
