Warehouse Receiver

About the Role:

The Warehouse Receiver plays a critical role in the efficient operation of the transportation and warehousing industry by managing the intake and inspection of incoming goods. This position ensures that all shipments are accurately received, documented, and stored according to company standards and safety regulations. The Warehouse Receiver collaborates closely with inventory control and logistics teams to maintain accurate stock levels and facilitate smooth warehouse operations. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or logistics role.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Familiarity with warehouse management software and barcode scanning technology.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and use of spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate departments.
• Accurately record received items into inventory management systems and update stock records.
• Organize and store materials in designated locations to optimize warehouse space and accessibility.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the movement of goods and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

The Warehouse Receiver uses attention to detail daily to verify shipment contents and identify any discrepancies or damages, ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
