SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant is part of the Aquatics team and assists in administrative tasks in order to keep the management team free to deal with operations and planning. Their key job duties are data input, tracking trends, assisting frontline employees with payroll errors and other Human Resource type issues and to be a liaison for support departments, such as Human Resources, Accounting, and Risk Management. This Position requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This person must be well organized and have good time management. The person in this position must be willing to work with other departments in a cooperative manor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Provide feedback to management about staff attendance.
- Train new employees and communicate with staff members as it relates to Schedule, Payroll, and other nonoperational duties.
- Recruit staff members for the department as needed by resort staffing demands
- Complete all required paperwork and checklists in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional image.
- Willingness to work schedule that fits the needs of the staff.
- Willingness to accept the most effective role.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: (Level 3) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: (Level 3) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: (Level 2) Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: (Level 4) Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to proofread in-house documents, i.e. policies and procedures, general announcements, etc.
- Willingness to perform any required task within associate's capabilities in order to effectively meet the needs of the company
- Ability to get along well with others
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to motivate people.
- Requires good negotiation and listening skills.
- Ability to act independently with little supervision.
- Skilled in problem solving and staff training.
- Efficiently handle multiple duties.
- Requires the ability to operate various office equipment to include a computer, word processing, spreadsheets, voice mail, copier, fax and calculator.

- Must be comfortable speaking to large groups
