Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Operator specializing in Waterjet, Plasma Cutting, Laser, and Router operations to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery to produce precise components and fabricated parts. Your expertise will ensure high-quality output, efficient production workflows, and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in fabrication and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program CNC waterjet, plasma cutters, laser cutters, and routers to produce accurate parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to determine machining requirements.
  • Set up machinery by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating machines for optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform maintenance on CNC equipment, including troubleshooting issues and performing basic repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to coordinate machining schedules and optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, production runs, quality inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to CNC machining operations, including proper handling of sheet metal, tooling, and hazardous materials.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as waterjet cutters, plasma cutters, laser cutters or routers in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and ability to modify programs as needed.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical drawings.
  • Mechanical knowledge of various manufacturing processes including welding, sheet metal fabrication, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, lathes, press brake machines, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and assembly techniques.
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers accurately.
  • Experience with tooling setup and maintenance for CNC machines.
  • Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions and tolerances during setup and inspection.
  • Valid forklift certification is a plus; ability to operate cranes or overhead hoists is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection standards. Join our team if you're passionate about precision machining and eager to contribute your skills in a vibrant manufacturing environment We value safety, craftsmanship, innovation—and most importantly—your growth as part of our dedicated workforce.
