Cook/Prep Cook

Summary of Position: This position is responsible for prepping and preparing food for the café as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area. The employee will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook orders accurately and promptly, with careful attention to presentation.
• Interact courteously with customers and coworkers to ensure a positive experience.
• Collaborate with team members to complete prep and pull/thaw sheets for each shift.
• Use prep/pull thaw sheets to identify required items; prepare according to recipes and label with correct dates.
• Provide support across all stations as needed.
• Set up workstations properly, ensuring readiness for both current and next shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, storerooms, equipment, and refrigeration units.

Qualifications:

• Team-oriented, detail-focused, and dependable.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service, preferably in high-volume kitchens.
• Proficient in following recipes and preparing orders accurately.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both team members and customers.
• Capable of working independently while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Current Food Handler's Certification.
