About This Role
As Platform Architect for Data & Database Solutions, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions that form the foundation of our data platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in GCP technologies combined with strategic thinking to translate complex business requirements into scalable, sustainable architectural solutions. You will drive critical initiatives that shape how our organization leverages data, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure our technology strategies align with organizational objectives. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver secure, compliant, and high-performing data solutions that meet the rigorous standards of the fintech industry while supporting our clients and enhancing our data platform capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define and articulate data strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements
• Lead data governance and stewardship initiatives, ensuring alignment on policies, standards, and best practices across the enterprise
• Conduct comprehensive enterprise-wide data discovery and profiling to understand existing data sources, structures, and dependencies
• Design and architect data lake solutions that support near real-time streaming data integration pipelines for business intelligence, analytics, and reporting requirements
• Implement comprehensive data security measures, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement database retention, archiving, disaster recovery, and business continuity policies in accordance with FINRA guidelines and industry best practices
• Drive data lake performance optimization and cost management initiatives to maximize value while controlling expenditure
• Design end-to-end data solutions that balance business objectives with technical constraints and operational realities
• Build and deploy Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilot programs to validate architectural approaches before full-scale implementation
• Partner with data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across the data ecosystem
