Position Summary
The Human Resources & Volunteer Coordinator supports San José Clinic by providing hands-on HR operational support and volunteer coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth employee onboarding, accurate HRIS data entry, benefits support, invoice processing, and employee engagement initiatives, while also managing the Clinic's volunteer processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-focused, and thrives in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Support
• Coordinate all aspects of new hire onboarding, including background checks, paperwork, orientations, and new employee setup.
• Enter and maintain employee information in Paylocity and ensure accuracy of records.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, payroll, and HR policies.
• Assist with open enrollment and benefits changes, collaborating with brokers and carriers to resolve issues.
• Submit and audit HR and benefits-related invoices to ensure timely and accurate
