Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Assists the Department Manager with ensuring that the company is in compliance with relevant

standards and guidelines. Creates and maintains documents and manuals.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordinating and overseeing one-on-one training with the new hires to help them learn to be productive in their job duties.
  • Responsible for re-training any employee or lead that is lacking in any area.
  • Provide feedback on progress of training plan and test the trainee to show approval of a "Trained" status.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate training records for employees.
  • Assist with creating and updating training manuals as needed.
  • Managing document control
  • Data entry and filing for quality reports
  • Perform internal audits and assist team members with audits
  • Understand all areas within the plant to be able to help develop employees' skill sets.
  • Demonstrate and promote a positive work environment.
  • Help ensure that the production floor is a safe environment, free from hazards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years manufacturing experience
  • Experience in training, continuous improvement, and/or quality

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Must be flexible in schedules and be able to prioritize needs and duties.
  • Must be familiar with pack standards and specifications.
  • Must be able to audit and complete Certificate of Conformance (COC) if needed.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and precise in their daily duties.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense

Physical And Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds

Travel Requirements

  • 0-25% - Travel may be required to support business needs
