Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead culinary operations in our dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in both fine dining and catering settings. The Chef will play a pivotal role in menu planning, inventory control, and maintaining the overall excellence of our culinary offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
  • Oversee menu development, planning, and execution aligned with restaurant standards and customer preferences
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and quality
  • Monitor food preparation processes to uphold consistency, presentation, and flavor quality
  • Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service excellence
  • Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operations during all service hours
  • Collaborate with management on kitchen budgeting, resource allocation, and operational improvements
  • Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Experience

  • Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong culinary background
  • Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Background in banquet catering, dietary departments, or large-scale food production preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP protocols
  • Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and food service management
  • Familiarity with kitchen management software and inventory control systems
  • Strong understanding of the food industry trends, catering services, and hospitality operations
  • Previous roles involving food handling, cooking techniques, restaurant management, or bartending are advantageous

Pay: $ $28.07 per hour
