Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated online math tutors who have a genuine passion for teaching elementary and middle school students. Ideal candidates are patient, professional, and able to create a supportive learning environment that builds confidence and improves academic performance. Tutors should be comfortable explaining concepts in multiple ways and adapting lessons to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or two-on-one online math tutoring sessions.
• Assess students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.
• Create lesson plans or adapt existing materials to meet student needs.
• Track student progress and communicate updates with parents and the center.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging learning environment.
• Arrive on time and prepared for each session.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of elementary and middle school math concepts.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and patiently.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to conduct online lessons through Zoom or similar platforms.
• Responsible, organized, and outcome-driven.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with young learners.
• Familiarity with common core math standards.
• Ability to tailor teaching approaches for different learning styles.
• Strong communication skills with both students and parents.

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling based on tutor availability and student demand.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Education:
