Automotive Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex automotive systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and ADAS. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues accurately and performing repairs efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and advanced tools to identify vehicle issues.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, and diesel engines as needed.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs, including welding and alignment procedures.
• Service and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal performance.
• Repair and replace components related to automotive electrical systems, ADAS features, and other electronic modules.
• Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
• Perform wheel alignments and ensure proper calibration of ADAS systems.
• Read and interpret schematics for complex electrical or mechanical issues.
• Document repair procedures accurately for auto estimating and customer records.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics interpretation.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery.
• Knowledge of automotive repair standards for GM vehicles is a plus.
• Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex issues such as ADAS calibration or electrical faults.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
