Join Our Mission of Caring and Healing

At St. Andre Health Care, a proud affiliate of Covenant Health, we're dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for every resident we serve. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll partner with residents and their care teams to help individuals regain independence, restore function, and live more fully.

You'll play a key role in creating personalized therapy plans that empower residents to achieve their highest level of physical and emotional well-being — all within a compassionate, collaborative environment guided by our mission and values of compassion, integrity, collaboration, and excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate residents and develop individualized therapy plans focused on functional goals and independence.
  • Provide therapeutic treatments, ADL training, and adaptive techniques to enhance residents' quality of life.
  • Assist with ambulation, mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques and mechanical lifts as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care and smooth transitions.
  • Document all treatment sessions and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and timely.
  • Recommend and instruct residents on the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
  • Mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and new team members, fostering growth and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
  • Stay current with licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
  • Current state OT license in good standing.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Compassionate, resident-centered approach and a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional integrity.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • Be part of a mission-driven organization rooted in compassion and service.
  • Enjoy a supportive, team-based environment that values your expertise.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
  • Competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package starting Day 1 (for eligible roles).
  • Work in a community that truly values your dedication and heart for care.
