Job Summary:

B&A is looking for a Cloud Engineering Specialist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration, security, and performance across environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Develop and maintain Docker images for microservices.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems.
• Implement and manage AWS cloud services and OpenShift environments.
• Write and maintain scripts in Python and other scripting languages for automation.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alerts from monitoring tools.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across cloud and containerized environments.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for future reference.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in relevant roles.

Required Skills:

• Ability to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Strong experience with Linux systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Expertise in OpenShift platform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash) and Python.
• Advanced knowledge of GitLab for version control and collaboration.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond to monitoring tools, identify issues, and resolve problems.

Security Clearance

• Active Secret clearance, eligibility to apply for TS/SCI
