Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plan production efforts for underground utilities, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems, using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Interact with clients, including local municipalities, ODOT, contractors, and other consulting companies.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate utility designs into overall project plans.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Work closely with other technical staff within Choice One Engineering to provide underground utilities design and consulting engineering services.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• EIT certification
• P.E. license or in the process of obtaining P.E. license
• 3-15 years experience in utility design
• Very responsive and a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
• Continuous learning mindset
• Working proficiency of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
