Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. This role is vital in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the high standards of our restaurant. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with excellent communication and guest relations skills. The Host/Host will serve as the first point of contact for our patrons, embodying our commitment to outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage guest check-in procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
• Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations effectively
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes guest satisfaction and repeat business
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
• Uphold all health and safety standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Host/Host or in food service/hospitality preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Posi Touch, Open Table
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
• Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous but not required
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
