Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, communication, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential in ensuring smooth seating arrangements, managing guest flow, and maintaining a positive dining experience. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication skills and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. The Host will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their visit and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and warmth.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover
• Answer phone inquiries with excellent phone etiquette and provide accurate information about the restaurant
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Assist guests with special requests and accommodate seating preferences when possible
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating issues as needed
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservations or guest check-ins when required
• Uphold hospitality standards by providing exceptional guest services and creating a welcoming environment

Experience

• Previous Host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
• Experience in food service, guest relations, or serving roles is advantageous
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction skills
• Background in hotel or guest services can be beneficial
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive guest experiences and team collaboration

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.92 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
