LBIUSA is currently seeking a full-time, hardworking, self-motivated, detailed orientated Quality Technician position with a full benefit package (medical, dental, vision, paid time off).

The Quality Technician daily responsible tasks would be assisting in analytical & microbiological testing of incoming ingredients, samples and finished goods. This position would also assist the Quality Manager in special projects as required.

  • Implement new testing procedures and incorporate these into daily routines.

  • Coordinate on line quality checks with the Production Manager & Supervisor.

  • Provide technical support to production on analytical equipment used in testing such as pH meters, probes and GC.

  • Preparation and execution of inoculation process.

  • Reviews test results and makes recommendations for acceptance or rejection of material and finished goods.

  • Issues Certificates of Analysis on finished products.

  • Coordinates sensory analysis on all finished products.

  • Completes required reports and documentation in support of manufacturing operations.

Qualified individuals must possess:

  • Associates degree in Microbiology, food science or related field (will accept years of experience in lieu of a degree)

· Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ramps sometimes.

· Job requires confined sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing pulling, stooping, crouching sometimes; finger/hand dexterity, frequently.

  • Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills, word processing and other basic computer skills, comprehensive verbal and written skills.

Preferred experience:

  • Food Manufacturing experience

  • Knowledge in HACCP, GMP's and GLP's

  • Regulatory Compliance

  • Knowledge of fermentation, blending, spray drying, roller drying, ultra-filtration and packaging preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
