Assistant Bar Manager/Bartender

The BSG Lounge is a small business in Grafton, WI. We are professional, agile, social and our goal is to Create an environment for patrons enjoy craft cocktails, a glass of beer, or coffee while socializing in a lounge style space.

This position's responsibility will be to assist the General Manager, setup drink recipes, manage the beer taps, track inventory, establish employee training, manage their team, bartend, and more.

Duties

Assist the General Manager with tasks including:

• Cover shifts as a barista and bartender
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar and cafe, ensuring smooth and efficient service
• Manage and train bar/barista staff, including baristas, bartenders and barbacks
• Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the staff to coordinate beverage service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Manage social media and marketing accounts

Requirements

• Availability to work weekdays and some weekends
• Strong knowledge of craft beers, wines and spirits, beverage handling, and safety procedures
• Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role
• Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Culinary or catering experience is a plus
