We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join our team at our High Point, North Carolina facility. We are hiring for two (2) positions, one on day shift and one on afternoon shift.

About the role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Technician ensures that production machinery operates efficiently and at peak capacity. This includes performing calibration, testing, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting production issues. The Manufacturing Technician will also prepare and batch chemicals, maintain supplies, and document all processes in alignment with Superior Glove's standards.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location:

This role is based out of our High Point, North Carolina USA location.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production line machinery, ensuring output meets quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on production equipment, applying lockout/tagout procedures as needed.
  • Perform calibrations, tests, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Create and maintain batch sheets, process control sheets, and ERP production updates.
  • Inspect and test raw materials and finished goods to ensure quality compliance.
  • Support chemical preparation, wastewater treatment, and post-dip operations as required.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and SOPs following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Assist with training new employees and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education in the manufacturing, mechanical or chemical fields is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience operating and troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ability to read blueprints/CAD drawings and use diagnostic and measurement tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic assembly, modification, and maintenance work.
  • Certification or experience in 5S, Lean, Kaizen, or Value Stream Mapping would be considered an asset
  • Experience with production tracking platforms (e.g., NetSuite).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and textiles manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and initiative to execute accurately and on time.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
