Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Calibration Technician with a focus on Mechanical Calibration. This position requires demonstrated knowledge in metrology of Dimensional, Mechanical, Pressure, Mass, and Torque calibration of test equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of clients' measurement instruments, with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate Mechanical test equipment (calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, thermocouples, thread plugs, plain plugs, thread rings, plain rings, depth indicators, torque, and other related equipment).
- Calibrate primary, secondary, and working standards.
- Generate calibration reports and certificates, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Perform regular inspections and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on calibration procedures and improvements.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Assist with audits by providing technical guidance and expertise
All calibration is performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards and A2LA accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.
Requirements and Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in calibration work is required.
- Experience and familiarity with ISO standards are preferred.
- A background in DOD, PMEL, or military calibration is preferred.
- Proficiency with equipment such as a Supermicrometer, Labmaster Universal, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective team interaction and client collaboration.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
