Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring efficient project progress and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction equipment and site operations, with a focus on precision and safety.

Duties

• Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks to move materials and assist in construction activities.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently across different phases of construction projects.
• Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle to get to work.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and other machinery listed above.
• Construction site experience preferred
• Mechanical knowledge to perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
