Responsibilities
The
Central Intake Coordinator
in Home Health provides administrative support to Central Intake Teams by adequately triaging incoming calls and entering referrals in operating system. Receives and communicates accurate referral information within Central Intake as well as to Branches.

• Obtains demographic and clinical information from clients, physician's office and other referral sources to compile referrals.
• Verifies new referring physician licenses on referrals taken in department.
• Researches coverage or pay source for each referral. Verifies commercial policies and HIQA.
• Educates prospective patients, families, physicians, and hospitals regarding home health services available.
• Serves as a liaison between clinical and marketing staff.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of High School education or G.E.D.
• Minimum of one to two years experience in office procedures.
• Minimum of one to two years Insurance/Medical experience.
