Responsibilities

• Greet and care for all guests
• Answer customer questions regarding ingredients using a deep and confident knowledge of our menu
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy, etc.)
• Craft hand-tamped Intelligentsia coffee drinks
• Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area clean
• Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Requirements

• 1+ year barista experience, including manual espresso and milk steaming
• Manual dexterity able to carry various objects, operate order terminal, operate kitchen/barista equipment
• A team player with good communication skills
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
• Very good physical condition and endurance
• A positive and welcoming presence with guests

Job Type: Part-time or Full-Time. Flexible weekend availability required.

Wage: Commensurate with experience. Pooled tips, flexible schedules, and guaranteed hours.
