We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring efficient operations and minimizing discrepancies. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks focused on tracking, managing, and optimizing stock levels. This includes performing regular cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future issues. Your keen attention to detail will be essential in maintaining precise records within our inventory management system. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a deep understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices. The ideal candidate will be adept at using technology to enhance inventory accuracy and will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational efficiency within the logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, including aging and slow-moving items.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to resolve inventory issues.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure proper **PPE** is used at all times.
- Be prepared for **Lifting** up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Understand the flow of goods within the **Logistics** network.
- Adhere to all **Safety** protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with **Logistics** operations and **Safety** procedures.
