We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to safety. You will be operating in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of materials and products. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, performing routine equipment checks, and adhering to all safety guidelines are critical. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stack and retrieve pallets of goods.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics team.
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic reading and communication skills.
