Join our dynamic logistics operations in Austin, Texas, as a Reach Truck Operator. We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate our reach trucks efficiently and effectively. This role is pivotal in managing our vertical storage and retrieval of goods, contributing to optimal warehouse space utilization and operational flow. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety and proficiency in operating specialized warehouse equipment are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate reach trucks to transport, lift, and stack materials in high-rise racking systems.
- Safely load and unload pallets from trucks and trailers.
- Retrieve and stage inventory for order fulfillment and shipping.
- Conduct daily inspections of the reach truck and report any malfunctions or necessary maintenance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly documenting all movements.
- Follow all established safety regulations and warehouse operating procedures.
- Wear and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Assist other warehouse personnel with various tasks as needed.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient logistics environment.
Qualifications:
Valid reach truck operator certification and proven experience are required. Ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and physical dexterity. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices in logistics. Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work at heights. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Good communication skills and a team player attitude. Prior experience with WMS or inventory systems is a plus. A proactive approach to safety and operational efficiency is highly valued.
