Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stocktaking, discrepancy resolution, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
  • Support the overall operational goals of the warehouse and logistics network.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the warehouse.
  • Must be able to handle frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance workflow and safety.
  • Uphold the company's commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction through diligent inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina for consistent Lifting and prolonged standing/walking.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and PPE requirements.
