We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in San Jose, California. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory adjustments, and implementing preventative measures against stock shrinkage. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. You will work collaboratively with the warehouse management team and staff to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient space utilization. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is essential, requiring strict adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While this role is primarily analytical, some physical tasks may be involved, including occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Process inventory adjustments, transfers, and status changes in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate stock movements.
- Generate regular reports on inventory accuracy, levels, and aging.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety policies, including PPE usage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse processes.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring light to moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPE.
