We are seeking a skilled and motivated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse, contributing directly to our supply chain operations. You will be expected to maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to all company policies and procedures, and operate all equipment safely and responsibly. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity for growth within our company. If you have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and experience with various types of forklifts, we encourage you to apply. Experience with high-reach or clamp forklifts is a plus. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure accurate inventory management and prevent damage to goods. You will also be responsible for performing routine checks on your forklift to ensure it is in good working order, reporting any issues immediately. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Regular physical demands include significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Stack and stage merchandise in designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
