We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. Your duties will include verifying shipments, inspecting for damage, and accurately documenting received items into our inventory system. This position is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring safety compliance.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE requirements.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required.
- Understand the importance of timely and accurate receiving in overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a receiving or inventory control role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with PPE regulations is required.
