We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Denver, Colorado distribution center. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, which is vital for our logistics operations. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal stock accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with purchasing to manage replenishment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Train other warehouse staff on inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus. Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with WMS software and MS Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Strong understanding of inventory best practices. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
