We are seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Technician to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, forklifts, automated machinery, and other operational tools. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our distribution center, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity. This role is critical to our overall operations and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to safety. You will work closely with the operations and maintenance departments to identify potential issues, perform routine inspections, and conduct necessary repairs. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems are essential. We expect our Warehouse Technicians to be proficient in diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions. Responsibilities also include documenting all maintenance and repair activities, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. This position involves regular lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Must be able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations.
