Our vibrant warehouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is looking for dedicated Order Pickers. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders with speed and accuracy. Your primary duties will involve using scanning equipment to locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves, verifying quantities, and staging orders for packing. This role demands efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to accuracy. You'll be an essential part of our logistics team, ensuring that products reach our customers promptly. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment is paramount, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the consistent use of PPE , is mandatory. The position requires physical agility, including frequent Lifting and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products according to order tickets or system prompts.
- Utilize RF scanners to locate, track, and confirm picked items.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain productivity standards and strive for order fulfillment excellence.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Perform routine checks on equipment like pallet jacks.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and wear assigned PPE .
- Support the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics .
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Capable of frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs) and standing/walking for extended shifts.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct usage of PPE .
