You will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory in designated racking systems.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Accurately locate and retrieve products for order fulfillment and stocking purposes.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of required PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to supervision.
- Contribute to efficient logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
- Understand and adhere to weight limits and stacking protocols to prevent accidents.
- Involves regular lifting of smaller items and general material handling duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck with valid certification.
- Experience with other warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
