We are looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our distribution network, handling a variety of tasks crucial to the movement of goods. Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Your dedication to accuracy and efficiency directly impacts our logistics performance and customer experience. We maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, and all associates must strictly adhere to safety procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your role involves contributing to a secure and productive work environment. This position requires physical capability, including regular lifting and the ability to work effectively in a demanding setting. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Stock materials and products in designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick items for outbound orders using scanning devices or pick lists.
- Pack products securely and efficiently for transport.
- Prepare shipping labels and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Stage orders for timely pickup by carriers.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with reconciliation.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading comprehension.
- Experience with warehouse equipment is a plus.
