Join our growing warehouse team in Columbus, Ohio, as a Warehouse Worker. We need reliable and hardworking individuals to support our daily logistics operations. This role is fundamental to ensuring the timely and accurate movement of goods within our facility. You will be involved in a range of tasks including receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping. Maintaining a safe working environment through diligent adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, and safe lifting practices is a core expectation.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming inventory for damages or discrepancies.
- Sort and place received items into correct storage locations within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with merchandise.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with company standards.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and stock checks.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Perform tasks requiring regular lifting and physical exertion, adhering to safe lifting techniques.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics and supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics role is beneficial.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately, both written and verbal.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for entire shift.
- Capacity to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with team members.
