Join our thriving logistics team as a Forklift Operator in our state-of-the-art facility in Omaha, Nebraska. We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role will be critical in ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods throughout our warehouse, supporting our extensive logistics network. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all operators to adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain their PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and accurately.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow proper lifting techniques when handling materials that are not palletized.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any damages to products or equipment immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience with certification potential.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and load stabilization.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Commitment to safety above all else.
